They say a picture is worth 1000 words. I got to thinking that I would put that to the test. I've decided to take some of my images and tell the story of capturing the image. As a math guy, I thought I should stick to making these dissertations exactly 1000 words long but I'm not the greatest of writers. The last thing I need is an additional constraint on myself. So, 1000 words is more of a guideline rather than a hard and fast rule. I hope you enjoy them. An interesting tidbit. I wouldn't consider many of these to be my best photos. Those can be found in my galleries.  But there are times when you know where to go, where to be looking, what settings will be needed and you go out to get the shot....and you just get it. A beautiful picture and very little story to tell. I'll be honest, that's kind of a rarity but it does happen. The beauty of photography is that there is usually a story to go along with an image. That's what keeps us going out there and not just relying on AI.  And like in fishing, sometimes the story is about the one that got away.
